More Than 5000 People Attended Muslim Family Day!
Alhamdu Lillah, more than 5000 people attended the Muslim Family Day at Six Flags America, Washington DC on Saturday, September 26, 2009. Everyone enjoyed the rides, Halal food and had good time with their friends and family. Despite afternoon rain, people kept coming and most of those who came early, stayed till the end.
We are thankful to Allah SWT for His mercy and blessing, without it, this event was not possible.
We are also thankful to all our volunteers who tirelessly worked day and night to make this event a big success.
We also appreciate the generous support of ICNA Relief, Helping Hand, Islamic Relief, Amana Funds, Ebru TV, Aqra Travels and Mujadidi Foundation. Last but not least, special thanks to All of You who really made this event a memorable one.

I had an awesome time. Nobody complained. The rain can not dampen our spirits. The best time was from 6:45pm to 7pm when we rode 3 rides in 15 minutes. SuperMan, Blizzard Breeze thingy and Jokers Jinx (me and my cousin-in-law) were the last and only 2 on the entire ride. Scary and exhilirating. Then we ran to make a small jammat of about 15 folks under a sitting area near the looney tunes area. A brother had an iPhone with a qibla app to tell us the right direction as I guessed the right way but he confirmed it. Awesome day, shoes were soaked, kufi was soaked, my but my spirit was high and dry.
